Homemade Garlic Bread


Homemade Garlic Bread – is perfect side dish for any kind of meat. Also has a very powerful flavor so it can be eaten alone as well but I prefer eating it as a side dish. It is really easy to make and works very well with different dipping sauces. The smell of the freshly baked garlic bread is incredible and the flavour is perfect. It is one of my top recommendations for a side dish for meats.

It is really easy to make homemade Garlic Bread . You can not go wrong with it , everyone loves it. When you make this at home, you can use high quality, fresh and chemical free ingredients and this will make your bread heaalthier. You will not feel guilty after eating these bad boys 🙂


  • 1 cup water (Room Temparature)
  • Active dry yeast 2 1/4 Teaspoons
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • Olive oil
  • 1/3 pounds of cheese of your preferance (parmesan etc.)
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 4 cloves of crushed garlic
  • Parsley


1-)  Put water and yeast together in a large bowl and stir. Let them rest for 5 minutes for yeast to get activated.
2-) Then add salt and flour. (Add the flour in small increments, do not add all at once). Mix them slowly. If you are using a machine, use it at the lowest speed. It will be ready when the bowl is clean and the dough is smooth.
3-) Cover the flour with a plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 1 hour.
4-) Cut the dough in half and make two long baguettes to fit in your oven sheet. You can use your creativity here. You can twist the baguettes and give them another shape. It is up to you 🙂 After you give them shape. Let them rest for another 30 minutes.
5-) Put the sheet in the 350F preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes then let it rest for 15 minutes at room temparature, our bread is ready.
6-) Slice the cheese in to small pieces. Melt the butter and crush cloves of garlic then mix them together.
7-) Cut the bread into 1 inch slices. Brush them with melted butter and sprinkle the cheese on top and add the chopped parsley. Also brush the sides of the bread slices with olive oil to keep them soft.
8 -) Bake for another 5 minutes and your delicious , yummy home made garlic bread is ready.
